Whatever you are conscious of; your mind will tilt to that direction unknowingly. There are three kinds of righteousness:
- Self-righteousness: This is morality without Christ.
Sin is more than doing wrong; it is the state of a fallen man.
- Practical righteousness: Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1st John 3:7. As a born child of God, you are living right according to the word of God.
- Positional righteousness: this talks about your new position in Christ. It is not by merit bit by gift.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the gift is of many offenses unto justification. Romans 5:16. Your physical body encases the real you; the real you are not your body. When you become born again, the real you take over and the one your parents gave birth to ‘dies’. The moment you are born again, you are given the gift of righteousness.
Before you pray, what is your mindset? On what authority are you standing on?
How do you approach God in prayers? When you address the enemy, how do you see are?
You have a seat with Christ in heavenly places and have been given the power to dominate.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10: 19.
The consciousness of your new position makes the devil tremble. It is not enough to be born again; study your Bible and discover who you are. Righteousness is your new position in Christ. Walk and live in that consciousness and everything about you will change.
